Lease of Shanghai buildings, 1863
Scope and Contents
A lease by Thomas Hunt & Co. to Thos. Cartlidge and Henry Mason, trading under the firm of Cartlidge & Co., of the two buildings forming the corner of Old Dock Street and Church Street, Shanghai, which they are already in possession of, for a period of two years from this date, dated Shanghai, 1 May 1863. There is an addition at the end of the document recording that Thomas Hunt & Co. also agrees to let to Cartlidge & Co. the house adjoining these buildings, facing Old Dock Street, for a period of two years.
