Scope and Contents

A typed draft of an agreement between William Keswick M.P. and John Matheson Macdonald of London and Sir Robert William Buchanan Jardine of Castlemilk, Baronet, whereby Jardine gives up all right to become a partner in Matheson & Co. and agrees to release the right of his father, Sir Robert Jardine, and himself to any claim to the goodwill of the business, which he assigns to Keswick and Macdonald. The agreement also states that certain assets and accounts of the company should now belong exclusively to Sir R.W.B. Jardine.
