Scope and Contents
Copies (including press copies) of miscellaneous letters from Europe to Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, with related documents. The principal correspondent is Arlès-Dufour & Co., Lyon. Other authors include A. Grisillon Rollet & Co.; Bié, de Collogny & Co.; Augustin Blazquez; Chamonard; Chapuisat & Milsom; Adolphe Collin; Mrs E.C. Day; Desgrand Père et Fils; Heitz Devèze; Duplay & Repelin; W. Meyer Elton; Charlotte Heuer; John Higson; Carlos Jimenez; Legrand Tanco & Co.; Rudolph Lindau; Antonio Margato; Milsom & F. Poy; Milsom, Poy & Ch. Berry; Pastré Frères; Sobrino & Co.; and Joseph Vettori. The correspondents write from places throughout Europe, but particularly Amsterdam, Bordeaux, Boulogne, Cadiz, Châlons-sur-Marne, Florence, Hamburg, Lyon, Madrid, Marseilles, Paris and Rotterdam. All the letters after 1876 are from Arlès-Dufour & Co.
