Scope and Contents
2 volumes of 17C music for viols, names or initials of composers often given. The books were reused in the 18C to make a biographical dictionary of Roman Catholics and their writings, an inventory of the library at Coldham, an inventory of household effects, and hints on growing fruit trees. Both volumes bound in calf, stamped and gilt. A modern description of the musical contents by Gordon Dodd, 1985, is included in the first volume.
