Edmund Lodge (1756-1839), Clarenceux Herald, biographer, inscribed on front flyleaf 'This MS. Is the writing of Edmund Lodge, Clarenceux, author of various works. J.G.R.' Volume, first 'Antiques, & by whom given or whom bought of' (2 items), then 264 medals and coins, with brief descriptions and names, such as 'Mr. Garrard', 'Mrs. Eades', probably indicating provenance, as above. At back, definitions of classical terms such as 'Paratorium'; list of emperors from Vespasian; short essay on last three latters of alphabet, signed 'E.L. 1784'
