Volume, inscribed at beginning 'These notes relating to the Dalton pedigree – & manor of Thurnham – and Abbey of Cockersand were collected by & are in chief part in the handwriting of John Gage Rokewode Esqr. among whose papers I found them. Thos. Rokewode Gage. 1844.' Manor of Thurnham, Lancashire: many taken from title deeds 'which the writer found at Thurnham Hall in the month of September 1818'. Proofs of the Dalton pedigree; Hoghton; annotated at end 'Proofs of the Dalton Pedigree & extracts from the Cockersand Abbey Coucher Book'. Notes on Cockersand Abbey.
