Scope and Contents
'Notes of churches', memoranda of features of churches in Thingoe and Thedwastre hundreds, Suffolk, preparatory for Hengrave 79, Remains of antiquity in the County of Suffolk. Consisting of drawings of old buildings &c in the Hundred of Thingoe, 1813. Gage's watercolour paintings of churches were begun on 18 MAY, but the volumes of memoranda were started on 23 JUL 1813. Written notes and pen and pencil sketches of features and inscriptions. With 2 loose sheets of notes on Pakenham church, being pp.20-23 in a numbered sequence, made on 18 MAR 1735.
