Laboratory notebook containing 1903-1904 records for various poultry breeding lines. Entries begin with records for birds labelled W 942-999 [page 1v], followed by a new series for birds W 1-46 [page 30v] (both sets hatched between May and June 1903). These are followed by 1904 records for various Malay breeding lines [page 54] and for birds B 53-57 [page 61r].

Individual records for each bird include notes on colour, comb and other physical characteristics (e.g. small foot), state of health, and cause of death, etc. The entry for bird B 53 includes a drawing of its head and comb [page 61v].
