Scope and Contents
Laboratory notebook containing records for poultry breeding lines W 100-297 (birds which hatched between January and February 1903).
Entries for each bird include notes on colour, comb and other physical characteristics (e.g. crooked feet), state of health, and cause/date of death or transfer, etc. Sketches of birds are included on [pp. 20v, 30v and 158r]. Bird W 121 is marked ‘colour important’ [page 23v]. Some birds are marked as given to Mrs G. Darwin or to Lady Jebb.
