Scope and Contents
These include letters from literary associates (such as Geoffrey Faber, Joseph Randolph Ackerley, Otto Kyllmann, Percival Horace Muir, Sir Robert Lusty, and David Cecil), and from family, friends and acquaintances. Many of the correspondents remark that Sassoon should have been awarded the higher honour of Order of Merit. Originally housed in an envelope marked 'Letters to SS congratulating him on CBE' (MS Add.9852/9/7/1).
