Letter from Pat [Patricia Curtis] to Archie Rose concerning T.E. Lawrence and Siegfried Sassoon, 24 May 1935
Scope and Contents
Requesting that Rose contact Sassoon about contributing to a book about Lawrence; concerning the reaction of the press to Lawrence's death: 'The sharks are already at work trying to make money out of Lawrence in the way he would have hated most'; the failed attempts of Lawrence's brother, A.W. Lawrence, to stop the publication of certain articles in the press and his wishes concerning Lawrence's legacy (including ideas to preserve his cottage and library, to donate to the hospital where he died, and to compile a composite book, with Sassoon mentioned as a contributor).
