Scope and Contents

The volume comprises preliminary notes and revised drafts for 'Siegfried's Journey', including reminiscences on his wartime experiences, Edmund Blunden, Wilfred Owen, Robert Ross, Robert Graves, and Thomas Hardy, with notes continuing to 1925. It also contains (written from reverse) notes on a film project to be based on the history of the Sassoon family (folios /53v-57v).
