Scope and Contents
Folder 1 = Correspondence of Pissarro on the making of the Brook type in 1902. His correspondents are the Vale Press (C. Holmes), E. P. Prince, and P. M. Shanks & Sons. With this is another letter from Prince to Pissarro in 1915 Folder 2 = Correspondence between Crutchley and Esther Pissarro about her gift of the type to the University Press in 1948 Folder 3 = Photographic print of the original design for the Brook type; proofs of the type in Cambridge; and exchange of letters with Orovida Pissarro about Eragny Press proofs she lent to the University Press in 1957 (1964) Folder 4 = Photographs of Pissarro, his wife and daughter, and his press.
