Meynell was elected a 'Designer for Industry of the Royal Society of Arts' (R.D.I., Royal Designer for Industry) in June 1945. He was the 'Master of the Faculty of Royal Designers for Industry' and ex-officio member of the Council of the R.S.A. 1953-4.
