General Post Office, 1946-1961
Scope and Contents
Meynell chaired a committee of the Council of Industrial Design set up in 1947 to advise the Postmaster General on stamp design. About 1955 this became the Postmaster General's Stamp Advisory Committee. Meynell served on this until 1959. Meynell also advised the Post Office unofficially on some other designs.
