The letters mainly concern later editions (including the Penguin edition of 1938), but also include letters from readers. Meynell's correspondents include Edward Bawden, J. M. Dent & Sons Ltd., Nonesuch Press (Harry Carter, Frederick Lemon, George Macy), Penguin Books (John Lane, Allen Lane, Edward Young), and Robert Leighton.
