Scope and Contents
Appeal letters from organizations and other correspondence. The organizations are: a fund for John Cowper Powys (1944; correspondence with Chris Massie); the Cathedral Fund Bury St Edmunds (1956), the Appeal for Gainsborough's House (1957), National Paul Robeson Committee (1957), Ancient Monuments Society (1957), Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (1958, including a letter to Meynell from J. B. Priestley), Christian Action (1959), and Appeal for Amnesty in Spain (1963).
