Scope and Contents
Meynell's file 'War correspondence'. It includes correspondence (mostly carbon copies of outgoing letters) with Alan Barlow, E. Boumphrey, R. A. Butler, Ramon Casanova, Bennett Cerf, P. J. (?) Hancock, Marion Hegarty, Shade (Mrs. Keiller), Robin Kilroy, George Macy, Robert Mennell, P. Messmer, National Council for Civil Liberties, Francis Ogilvy, Hans Popper, Olivia Sowerby, and Alan Steyne. With the letters are some typescript memoranda recording anecdotes and diary entries, and a typescript of 3 pages (mimeographed) captioned 'Home Intelligence' for 19 Aug. 1940.
