Scope and Contents

Morison's letters to Lowe are mostly photocopies. There are additionally carbon copies of the typescript ones. Folder 1 = 1928 Folder 2 = 1936 Folder 3 = 1942 Folder 4 = 1946, including an exchange of letters between Morison and R. W. Hunt Folder 5 = 1947 Folder 6 = 1948 Folder 7 = 1949 Folder 8 = 1950 Folder 9 = 1951, with a printed poster announcing a lecture by Lowe in Paris on 13 Nov. 1951 Folder 10 = 1952 Folder 11 = 1953 Folder 12 = 1954 Folder 13 = 1955 Folder 14 = 1956 Folder 15 = 1957, with an announcement for a lecture by Lowe in Munich on 16 July 1957 Folder 16 = 1958 Folder 17 = 1959, with a letter from Oxford University Press to Lowe, endorsed by him for Morison Folder 18 = 1960, with an invitation to Morison to attend the presentation of the Gold Medal of the Bibliographical Society to Lowe; a transcript of remarks by Lowe on this occasion; a letter from Morison to C. H. Roberts; and a letter (photocopy) from Lowe to the Institute for Advanced Study (Homer Thompson) Folder 19 = 1961 Folder 20 = 1962 Folder 21 = 1963-1964 Folder 22 = 1965, with letters (photocopies) from Morison to Ludwig Bieler and C.
