Scope and Contents

Folder 1 = 1923, including one original letter from Bridges dated 23 Dec. 1923, the others photocopies Folder 2 = 1925, with a letter from Humphrey Milford to Bridges dated 30 June 1925 and a letter from Bridges to Alfred Ehrman dated 15 Jan. 1926. This letter is ms.; the other letters of Bridges are typescript transcripts. All letters are photocopies Folder 3 = 1926. There is 1 original letter from Bridges dated 14 Oct. 1926. Others are photocopies, the letters from Bridges being typescript transcripts Folder 4 = 1927-1929 Folder 5 = undated letters, including a letter from Bridges dated 'Dec. 24'. Most of the letters from Bridges are typescript transcripts dated with month and day but not year. With these are 2 pages from 'A poet in Walton Street', with marginal comments by Morison (photocopy of a typescript transcript) Folder 6 = 3 printed slips showing Elstob Saxon: (a) dated 13 Apr. 1909; (b) marked 'Bridges' alphabet'; (c) headed 'Elstob Saxon with Bridges phonetics'; and 2 printed slips showing Monotype Blado italic with modifications, one marked by Morison 'R. Bridges' Blado fount for use in his Oxford (1927) [sic]'.
