Letters to Ruth Darwin from French soldiers and others, 1917-1924
Scope and Contents
Contains letters and postcards sent to Ruth Darwin primarily from French soldiers who visited the Foyer de Soldat at Avenay and at Sainte-Menehould, but also includes letters from French co-workers and refugees from the refugee shelter in Reims.
Many of the correspondents have been identified through two address books created by Ruth, one from the Foyer de Avenay and one from the Foyer de Sainte-Menehould.
