Scope and Contents

The design is possibly for a stained glass window or a brass, in ‘bibliothe’ Columbiens [the library of St. Columba’s]. The design is initialed: possibly ‘GDL’. Thomas Sewell was the father of William Sewell (1804-79), founder of St. Columba’s College, Rathfarnham, Ireland, and St. Peter’s College, Radley.
