Items 1-3 and 5-10 are in typescript, and items 4 and 11 in manuscript, including 'The scientific worker in industry in 1931'; 'An Englishman's impressions of Germany', [1931?]; 'Chancellor Bruning and modern Germany', [1931-32]; 'Science and Parliament', 1932; 'Science and national economy' 1932?]; untitled draft written jointly with Bruning,1935; review of Lucy Mair, Native policies in Africa, 1937; and 'If war comes', 1939. Items 12-29 are printed, the majority being articles in the National Labour News-letter, 1938-39; but also including articles in the journals Egypt, Discovery and Nature, and a jointly-written pamphlet proposing extension of old age pensions and national insurance, 1938.
