Large folder of loose notes, printed material etc., including notes on sponge cultivation, Aphroditea, calculations on pressure of atmosphere, apparatus for rearing crabs, calculations of ova in ovary of conger eel (Plymouth 1895), notes on creeping mines 1914, currents in the North Sea; table of canal velocities, lectures on sponges 1925, two letters from Nature to GPB 1941, letter from A.G.Lowndes to GPB, notes on spicules (pocket file); sponge currents and flagella (pocket file); loose pages of notes and drawings including notes on calcareous spicules, oscula jet calculations (pocket file); photographs of wall diagrams (envelope); typescripts on Clathria and Microciona (envelope); notes on sponges, and some unrelated letters (pocket file); personal letters to GPB, mainly from his wife, also other family members and friends (3 bundles, and a few loose letters); small envelope labelled "Boy Scouts"; envelope with 5-page draft `A contribution to the knowledge of the physiology of sponges', and note by AMB `perhaps a summary or outline of his Fellowship dissertation'; envelope with 5-page draft on physiology of sponges, with note by AMB that this may be summary of his fellowship dissertation
