Yearbook of English Studies annual issues 4 - 19 (1974 - 1989) correspondence 1973 - 1988 (Boxes 20 -23), 1974-1989
Scope and Contents
The Yearbook began as a supplement or `overflow' for the English section of the MLR. From issue no. 8 (1978) it included a section of specially commissioned articles on a single theme. For each issue (apart from the first one 8/1) there are one or two files of editorial correspondence, plus files for individual articles, arranged alphabetically by author. There is apparently no file for issue 5 (1975), but there may be correspondence in the `articles accepted' section (6) above. Correspondence on reviews would also be with the main MLR files. Because the Yearbook was published at the beginning of each year, the correspondence in each file will date from the year preceding that of publication, e.g. correspondence in 8/1/1 is from 1973.
