Scope and Contents
Brett told Glennie that Bowers disapproved of arrangements for taking in additional boys, and was hurt not to be consulted; he thought Bowers, Hodgson and Brett had approved it, and so voted for it in Council; not surprised that Bowers decided to withdraw; Marlborough 'owes its existence and all that is good about it to your extraordinary exertions and most judicious views and arrangements.'; Glennie might resign also
