Circumstances leading to resignation of James Tarris, Yale Librarian; John Blum, Professor of History, is appointed acting Director of Libraries; satisfaction at running of Beinecke Library; the resignation distressed Liebert and he considered resigning; Beinecke is becoming 'completely independent of the University Library in everything but form.'
