From Herbert Nichols to Moeran, 10 Dec. 1930
Scope and Contents
He has found copies of A & E and 'Aurelia'; nowadays, he understands, he is 'a poseur and backnumber' but has 'not given up hope of being among the English poets when I die'; he hopes to amend and republish 'a selection of my early work' and get fairer treatment; a few among his war poems that he still likes - examples; how they could be set to music; hopes the selection will rank with Darley's 'Nepeuthe' and pastorals of 'some of the lesser but still glorious Elizabethans'; encloses some later unpublished poems; thinks 'some of my lyrics particularly suitable to the musician'
