From Samuel Lee to Duncan (bookseller), 14 Aug. 1837
Scope and Contents
Hopes he received a packet containing Gesenius etc.; he is getting on well with Duncan's work, which needs 'great research and care', and will give him 'great experience'; he must insert a tract as appendix to the Dictionary, on the Hebrew and Greek article, and can insert Duncan's engraving of the plan of the Temple, 'and so secure to your purchasers, a Biblical apparatus to be found in no other Lexicon'; his intention in inserting article, is to give 'a far clearer insight into the hitherto most difficult doctrine of the articles than...has yet been given'; the fact that Greek and Hebrew articles are regulated by the same laws is not publicly known
