The letter dated 13 Apr. 1910 includes a drawing of a mock sun effect (parhelion) witnessed by Bateson from the train to Cambridge (item 5 [5:1r]). That of 29 June mentions plans to go to Merton with Edith Rebecca Saunders (item 9 [9:1r]). The letters from Berlin and Vienna include mention of Erwin Baur (items 18-23 [18:1r]) and Paul Kammerer (item 21 [21:1r]).
