Stanley Morison, 1928-1973
Scope and Contents
Folder 1 = letters from Morison to Carter (1928-67). Included are a tear-sheet from Schweizer Graphische Mitteilungen for 1949 with a picture of Morison, and letters to Morison from Carl H. Pforzheimer (1946) and Nigel J. Abercrombie (1956) Folder 2 = envelopes addressed, mostly to Carter, in Morison's hand. With these is a Christmas card from Jeanne and John Holroyd Reece reproduced from Morison's handwriting (1933). Folder 3 = memorabilia of Morison. These include clippings, printed ephemera, and a typescript letter by Carter to the Times (not published) about Morison.
