Scope and Contents

Biographical and Personal is comprised of a broad range of material, including letters between Gray and his father and a substantial amount of material relating to Gray's service in the First World War (maps, field orders, roll books, personal journals, letters, and written reflections) which is of interest for military history. A hand grenade found with the military papers has been deposited in the Imperial War Museum, London.
