The book is possibly a compendium of lecture notes. Until p. 170 the versos are used for notes, additions and diagrams. From p. 172 onwards the text is on the versos as well as the rectos. On a flyleaf at the beginning: 'Thos. P. Williams, St. John's College, Cambridge, January 2d, 1809'.
