Robert Fowler of Chettisham in the parish of Ely St Mary, yeoman, answered Robert Holland, gentleman, in an action of trespass and ejection that on 29 Mar. 1622 he ejected Holland from a messuage, 30 acres of land, four acres of meadow and six acres of pasture with appurtenances in Chettisham which Ralph Holland had leased to Robert Holland for a term which had not yet expired. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
- 1r. Edward Sibley of Ely, husbandman, answered Thomas Sibley in an action of trespass on the case relating to a messuage, 16 acres and three and a half rods of land, and four acres of pasture with appurtenances in Ely, 30 Mar. 1622. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
- 1v. Richard Fowler of Ely, draper, answered Joseph Auger, who was under the age of 21, in an action of trespass that on 1 May 1621 his livestock trampled and overgrazed the grass lately growing in his close in Ely. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
- 1v. Thomas Sibley of Littleport, husbandman, answered William Addames in an action of trespass and ejection that on 22 Apr. 1622 he ejected Addames from a messuage in Ely in a street called High Row [which Joan Sibley had leased to Addames]. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
- 2r. Memorandum that Joseph Auger, who was under the age of 21, brought a bill against Roger Thompson, gentleman and attorney of this court, in an action of trespass that on 20 Apr. 1622 he took two cart-loads of wood or timber at Ely. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
- 2r. Thomas Sadler of Ely, waterman, is summoned to answer Richard Flower, gentleman, in an action of debt relating to the supply of a bottle [and] 56 pounds of dried raisins, 10 Nov. 1619 at Ely. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
- 2r. Ralph Briant, alias Sisinor, of Downham, miller and executor, with Helen Sisinor, of the last will and testament of Thomas Sisinor, lately the husband of Helen, answered Richard Collyns in an action of debt of 40 shillings which Thomas Sisinor borrowed on various occasions in January 1620. [The administration is disputed].
- 2v. Robert Wilson of Thetford, yeoman, is summoned to answer John Thickpennye in an action of debt of three pounds relating to the lease of a close and pasture with appurtenances in Ely, 20 June 1621. Wilson fined; to pay costs and damages
- 3r. William Thompson of Ely, cordwainer, answered William [Sacson] and Robert Barrett in an action of trespass and ejection that on 30 Oct. 1621 he ejected them from a messuage with appurtenances in Ely which David Ayers had leased to [Sarson] and Barrett for a term which had not yet expired. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
- 3r. Peter Shippe of Wisbech, glover, answered [Adlardo] Sye in an action of trespass that on 9 Feb. 1622 he took and carried away a [young sheep] to the value of 20 pence from Sye at Wisbech. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
- 3r. Henry Papworth of Stretham, yeoman, answered Richard Langford in an action of trespass that on 20 Apr. 1622 his livestock overgrazed and trampled on the grass growing in Langford’s close at Catfishers Field in Stretham causing damage. Papworth arrested; to pay costs and damages.
- 3v. Ralph [?Sowe] of London, victualler, is summoned to answer Thomas Wensley in an action of debt of nine pounds relating to the lease of a cottage and an acre of land with appurtenances [in Wisbech], 25 Mar. 1606. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
- 4r. Richard Browne of Wisbech, [occupation not stated], answered Edward Southwell in an action of trespass on the case relating to the sale and supply of nine coombs of wheat, 10 Apr. 1620 at Wisbech. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
- 4r. John Collins of Doddington, husbandman, is summoned to answer William Bigge in an action of debt of 53 shillings and four pence relating to the sale and supply of eight coombs of beans and peas, 26 Mar. 1621 at Wisbech. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
- 4v. Thomas Doe of Ely, labourer, answered Nicholas Thompson in an action of trespass on the case relating to the possession of a [?doublet] of buff-leather to the value of 60 shillings. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
- 5r. Joan Thomasyn of Leverington, widow and administrator of the goods and chattels of Nicholas Thomasyn, yeoman, is summoned to answer Thomas Parke esquire in an action of debt of 70 pounds relating to a bond of obligation of 24 Apr. 1619 at Wisbech. To proceed to jury trial.
- 5r. John Edwardes of Wisbech, butcher, answered Jerome Parke in an action of assault that on 29 Sept. 1621 he assaulted Edwardes at Wisbech. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
