  2. 1r. John Neale of Manea, yeoman, answered Thomas Durrant and Sarah, his wife, in an action of trespass and assault that on 1 Sept. 1619 he assaulted Sarah Durrant at Coveney. Neale counters that Sarah Durrant assaulted him on the date stated. To proceed to jury trial.
  3. 1v. William Casbourne, alias Casbolt, of Ely, brewer, answered William Astwood in an action that on 2 Apr. 1620 he assaulted Astwood at Ely. Casbourne counters that Astwood assaulted him on the date stated. To proceed to jury trial.

James Wyndett of Walsoken, Norfolk, husbandman, answered William Jetherell, gentleman and administrator of the goods and chattels of William Ruse late of Terrington St John, Norfolk, deceased, in an action of trespass on the case relating to the possession of an acre of standing wheat then growing, an acre of standing rye, a cupboard, a cheese press, a table, a pair of malt querns, poles, posts and pails, 20 Apr. 1617 at Terrington St John. Thomas Boston, alias Tyler, of Terrington St John, Norfolk, husbandman, answered William Jetherell, gentleman and administrator of the goods and chattels of William Ruse late of Terrington St John, Norfolk, deceased, in an action of trespass on the case relating to the possession of an acre of oats, an acre and a half of barley and an acre and a half of beans, 20 Apr. 1617 at Terrington St John. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.

Thomas Denn of Walsoken, Norfolk, yeoman, answered Christopher Morfoot in an action of trespass on the case and breach of promise relating to an undertaking to pay Richard Carick of Emneth, Norfolk, yeoman, the sum of nine pounds and nine shillings, and to the lease of a messuage and a parcel of land in Elm, 28 Dec. 1619 at Wisbech. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.

Charles Pulter of Wisbech, single man, answered Thomas Smith in an action of trespass that on 1 Aug. 1616 he broke and entered Smith’s dwelling house at Wisbech and took and carried away a featherbed, a bolster, a coverlet, a pair of andirons, a watchbill, a riddle and a pair of sheets.   13. 4r. Thomas Smithe of Wisbech, waterman, is summoned to answer Charles Poulter in an action of debt of 12 pounds relating to the lease of a messuage and three acres of pasture with appurtenances in Wisbech, 25 Mar. 1613. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
  14. 5r. Robert Grymer of Ely, yeoman, answered Richard Godlington in an action of trespass on the case relating to [12 000] hassocks to the value of five pounds, 4 Nov. 1615 at Ely. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.
