Scope and Contents

From the Fonds:

Letters to Woodward on medical, scientific, antiquarian and theological topics. The collection includes drafts of his replies, and a few letters between other persons which were passed on to Woodward. Letters are are all to Woodward, unless listed otherwise.

The principal correspondents include Dr John Allen of Bridgwater (1-25); Thomas Baker of St John's College, Cambridge (26-44); Abbé Jean-Paul Bignon (50-63); Herman Boerhaave (64-70); Louis Bourget (71-76); Gisbert Cuypers (Cuperus) (95-102); and John Edwards, D.D., of Cambridge (114-122).
