Preamble: letters patent, writ of assizes, gaol delivery commission.
1. John Chrystyan of Coveney, cleric, is indicted that on 17 June 1581 at Coveney he feloniously took and carried away two hurdles [in English herdelles] to the value of twenty pence and eight poles [in English pooles] to the value of four pence from Nicholas Bugg. Not guilty.

2. Robert Mychell of Whittlesey, husbandman, is bailed. Radulph [Ralph] Graye of Whittlesey, yeoman, and Edward Roberts of Wisbech, husbandman, act as surety.
3. Richard Bloson of Whittlesey, husbandman, is bailed. Robert Bloson of Whittlesey, husbandman, and John Darnewell of Nassington, Northamptonshire, yeoman, act as surety.
4. John Warberton of Wisbech, yeoman, is bound to answer a plea of debt from Edward Towbridge. [Simon Fosse] of Wisbech, beer brewer, and Richard [Fosse] of the same, tailor, act as surety.
5. Thomas Moone of Wisbech, husbandman, is bound to answer a plea of trespass on the case from Robert Attylbridge. Thomas Robynson, gentleman, acts as surety.
6. Richard Ferrar of Haddenham, yeoman, is bound to answer a plea of trespass on the case from George Hasell, gentleman. Roger Owtlawe of Thetford, yeoman, and John Beamys of Thetford, yeoman, act as surety.

7. Thomas Curteys of North Lynn, Norfolk, butcher, is bound to answer a plea of trespass on the case from Thomas Walker. Lambert Marten of Wisbech, butcher, and Edmund Wesenham of Wisbech, husbandman, act as surety.
8. Thomas Bulwarde of Enmeth, Norfolk, yeoman is bound to answer a plea of trespass on the case from Thomas Archer. John Fludd of Newton, gentleman, acts as surety.
9. Cuthbert Browne of Haddenham, yeoman, is bound to answer a plea of debt from the Crown. Thomas Raven of Haddenham, husbandman, and John Beamys of Thetford, husbandman, act as surety.
10. William Akers renounces his suit in a plea of trespass on the case against William Ellys of Leverington, husbandman. Ellys is discharged.
11. Henry Akers renounces his suit in a plea of trespass on the case against Simon Hamond of Tydd St Giles [Tidd sancti Egidii], tailor, and [Katherine] his wife. Hamond is discharged.
12. Thomas Bournebye renounces his suit in a plea of debt against John Darby of Whittlesey, [waterman]. Darby is discharged.
13. John Cole gives 6 shillings and 8 pence as licence to agree in action with Thomas Mayhewe and Elizabeth his wife, and Robert Palmer and Elizabeth his wife concerning 16 acres of land and pastures in Leverington.
14. Robert Owtlawe gives 6 shillings and 8 pence as licence to agree action with John Salmon and Agnes, his wife, concerning a messuage with appurtenances in Stretham.

15. Cuthbert Browne of Haddenham, husbandman, answers a plea of non-payment of 20 pounds in a dispute over four acres of customary land, 31 Mar. 1581 at Haddenham. Browne says he is not in debt; to proceed to jury trial.
16. John Randes of Sutton, husbandman, answered a plea from Roger Philpott of Aldreth that he ejected Roger Philpott on 10 Feb. 1579 with force and arms from one messuage, 11 acres of arable land, two acres of meadows and two [lands] in Sutton which Richard Randes had demised to Roger for a term which had not yet expired. Pled not guilty; to proceed to jury trial.

17. Andrew Reade brought information on behalf of the Crown that Thomas Dennys of Haddenham, labourer, on 20 January 1581, kept and maintained a common gaming house at Haddenham for playing cards against contrary to statute [An act for the maintenance of archery and the debarring of unlawful games 1541]. Dennys was not able to deny the action.
