Discussions in Calcutta about education, and "Sir Henry Gidney's aims and misstatements... He is a very slippery and cute individual... He is now endeavouring to detach the R.C.s from co-operating with us... by trying to persuade the ignorant members of the R.C. Community that I have some sinister plan of stealing a march upon them and securing some advantage for the Anglican schools..."
