Scope and Contents
He is preparing a short history of the Vepery Mission, and drafting amendments to M.D.C. rules. Difficulties at Trinchonopoly College: they chose as Registrar Oakley, a Pembroke man, "who originally came out as a Theosophical dupe... recently... Head of the large Hindu college here." Walker and other C.M.S. missionaries threaten to resign "if an independent bishop of Tinnevelly is appointed." This would be welcomed. Present bishop's "long rule" has been feeble.
