Scope and Contents
His daughter has been asked to translate "the authoritative book of directions for the iconography of Greek churches" from Constantinides' second edition, 1885, which has been "edited down to the intelligence of the more illiterate class of Church decorators." She will obtain a better edition. He sends direction for "the oriental manner of representing the Evangelist John."
