"East Lincolnshire Railway", 1846
Scope and Contents
Parliamentary Plan and Section 26 m. 5 f. to 40 m. 4 f. at 12 chains to the inch, subsequently enhanced by the addition of proprietors' names and hand-coloured to distinguish the different proprietors. Map has been trimmed, dissected, and mounted as a continuous strip. Cover embossed 'James Wall'. James Wall of Sheffield, Esq, was one of the initial directors of the line. Note: The copy deposited with the Clerk of the Peace for Lindsey has no colour and no proprietors thus confirming that these are later enhancements, even though the proprietors' names seem to be added to the stone.
