Scope and Contents
Maps.KGM 56.M.1 to 8 = Military issues overprinted with War Office Cassini Grid in purple ; Maps.KGM 56.M.9 to 14 = Military issues with National Grid (Military System). Most of the maps were stored in tall slip-cases made by Guy Messenger made out of cardboard (sometimes recycled corn-flake cereal boxes) and tape or sticky-back plastic (usually black), but only samples of these boxes have been retained.
