Scope and Contents

A = Sheets with no reference system ; B = Sheets with an alpha-numeric squaring system. Many of these maps were stored in slip-cases made by Guy Messenger, mostly from 'Grape Nut' boxes (sometimes covered, usually with white paper and white tape or stick-back plastic), but only samples have been retained ("Grape Nuts, crunchy wheat & malted barley breakfast cereal. Stays crunchy in milk").
