Translated by Abd-el-Kadr, of Kano, and revised by Charles H. Robinson. The Hausa Association - founded as a memorial to John Alfred Robinson, a CMS missionary on the Niger until his death - sponsored an expedition by Charles H. Robinson, brother of J. A. Robinson to Hausa speaking areas.
At Kano he sponsored a translation of St. Luke and St. John in Arabic (Ajami) script. St. Luke does not appear to have been published, St. John published London: BFBS, 1899. (C939).
