Old Testament (incomplete) in Kuoyü, 1970
Scope and Contents
ff.1854 (approx.); mimeographed. Bound in beige paper.
Although not strictly a manuscript this autograph mimeograph draft of the O.T. (Ruth is missing) by Lü Chen-chung is worth noting as the first new Protestant translation into Kuoyü since the Union version of 1919. It was translated from the Greek and a tentative New Testament was published in 1946 for circulation and comment (Peiping Yenching University, School of Religion, Sp 530). The complete Bible was published in 1970 by the Bible Society of Hong Kong. (Sp 572)
