ff.312; 227 x 163mm; text size 146 x 100mm; 17 lines to Genesis, 16 lines to Exodus. Ruled with hard point. Two unbound bundles, with first two quires of Exodus missing.
Another MS of Abu Rumi’s translation. Decorated with red and/or silver for punctuation marks and the Divine Names. Loose leaf between the bundles.
‘To the President, Vice-Presidents, Committee and Members of the Honourable British and Foreign Bible Society. The Books of Exodus is translated in the Vulgar language of Abyssinia is respectfully dedicated to their most humble and obedient servant Asselin de Cherville - Ancien Officier d’Artillerie - Agent du Consulat General de France et d’Italie en Egypte - Kaire 2 Novembre 1814’.
