Biographical / Historical
Harold Keeling Moulton (1903-82) was born in Manchester, educated at The Leys School and King’s College, Cambridge, and trained for the Methodist Ministry at Didsbury College. He was a missionary for the Methodist Missionary Society in South India from 1927, and taught for 5 years at Findley College, Trichinopoly, before becoming Professor of New Testament Studies at United Theological College, Bangalore. He worked on the revision of the Tamil New Testament and development of liturgy for the Church of South India. Moulton joined the Bible Society London in 1957 as Assistant Translations Secretary, retiring in 1971.
