Scope and Contents
The files contain correspondence, drafts, production specifications, finance etc., for individual projects. There is generally one file per project, and the files are arranged in random order, within boxes.

Biographical / Historical
It is not clear whether the Editorial Department was a direct successor to the Range Development Department, or whether they existed side by side. They both did the same sort of work, that is, commissioning and editing special BFBS publications, including Bible editions and selections, and an increasing amount of Bible study material, books on Bible use, educational material, etc., experimenting with audio, video and computer material where appropriate. There is a gap between the Range Development files (1973-1981) and the Editorial files (1983-1993).
