‘Wawona’ 28 feet diameter, 275 feet high Mariposa Grove, 1885
Scope and Contents
203 x 305 mm. A view of the base of Wawona, the famous Sequoia tree through which a hole measuring 11 feet by 8 feet has been cut. A coach is passing through the hole, while two couples pose at either side of the tree. Mariposa Grove situated in the Yosemite National Park, contains about 200 giant Sequoia.
