Reference Code: GBR/0115/RCS/Y3089B/42

Scope and Contents

360 x 260 mm.
A view looking across to Parnell Hill, an Auckland suburb situated to the west of Hobson Bay. Land allotments in the area were first sold in 1841, but in this picture it still remains a fairly peaceful appearance, with villas and bungalows on the hill and a small industrial and commercial area at the foot. The railway cuts across the picture below the residential area with an iron bridge across the road.
